Friday 9 am -12 noon - Ear-Ling - Cables and Beads
Description:
I’m going to be perfectly honest! I look hideous in hats - any size, any shape, any color…But my ears freeze instantly at the mere thought of cold weather. This means I need something to cover them! Enter the headband! It’s compact and quick to put on.
In this class, we'll combine Cables, the queens of texture and Beads, those sparkly pieces of glass, and create a one of a kind beaded cabled headband! We’ll fearlessly work the provisional cast on, knit with beads, cable without cable needles, shape invisibly, practice the three-needle bind off and tackle the kitchener stitch. Join me for this fun little project with amazing ear warming power!
Supplies to bring:
2 balls, approx 100 yds each, of light colored worsted weight yarn, size 7 (4.5 mm) and 8 (5 mm) knitting needles (straight OR circular), size 1 mm metal crochet hook, size G (4 mm)or H (5 mm) crochet hook, 30 x size 5/0 glass beads, cable needle, scissor, stitch markers, tapestry needle (basic knitting paraphernalia), small amount of waste yarn.
